The Scottish Motor Trade Association can provide an independent conciliation service for considering and recommending solutions to complaints against member garages. It is a process where we ask a wholly independent panel of motor trade experts and Trading Standards officers to make a recommendation after considering documentary evidence submitted by each party. However, we have no remit to carry out or commission any assessment or to seek information or evidence from any third party. It is entirely up to the complainant or our member to provide any report or information they may wish to rely upon to support their argument.
